Discover The Incredible Oil From Siberia That Protects Against Stomach Ulcers, Reduce Your Risk Of Heart Disease and Aids Weight Loss
The forest wilderness of Siberia in north-east Russia is vast covering an incredible one and a half million square miles. Although it can be a harsh and unforgiving environment it holds a secret treasure that can aid digestion, help you lose weight and even lower your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

The seeds or 'nuts' of the Siberian pine (Pinus sibirica) are gathered and cold-pressed to produce unrefined, extra-virgin Siberian pine nut oil - an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and essential fatty acids like Omega-3 and Omega-6.

It has traditionally been used to heal digestive disorders and boost stamina; and during hard times in Siberia, when food was in short supply, people would eat pine nuts or drink the oil to dispel feelings of hunger.

This remarkable oil is now available in the UK through Golden Oils Ltd, a company setup by Siberian native Elena Rayner-Melnikova.

Lose weight safely with Siberian pine nut oil

Siberian pine nut oil contains high levels of an omega-6 fatty acid called pinolenic acid, which has been found to activate the release of the hunger-suppressing hormones CCK (cholecystokinina) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). These send a feeling of 'fullness' to your brain, so reducing your desire to eat.

In a trial carried out at Liverpool University, overweight women took either pine nut oil or olive oil, half an hour before being allowed to help themselves to an 'all-you-can-eat' buffet. Those taking the pine nut oil ate on average nine percent less than the olive oil group, a small but significant reduction.

In another study, conducted in the Netherlands,18 overweight, post menopausal women randomly received either pine nut oil or olive oil (placebo), together with a light breakfast. Over the next four hours, their blood levels of hunger-suppressing hormones were measured and the subjects also subjectively rated their appetite. Compared with the placebo, pine nut oil suppressed feelings of hunger by 36 percent and boosted levels of CCK by 50 percent.

A rich source of antioxidants that help protect against ulcers and gastritis

Siberian pine nut oil could also provide a natural alternative for the prevention and treatment of stomach ulcers and gastritis (chronic inflammation of the stomach lining). One of the main causes behind both these conditions is the bacterium Helicobacter pylori Around 50 per cent of us have H. Pylori living in our stomach and duodenum but only a small minority develop a peptic ulcer or gastritis.

New research from Spain suggests that peptic ulcers may be caused by the way our bodies respond to H. pylori, since the bacterium provokes an inflammatory response from the immune system, involving the production of free radicals.' These damaging molecules attack the cells that line your stomach, causing some of them to die and potentially starring the process of ulcer formation. However, because individuals differ in their levels of antioxidants, which prevent free radical damage, only some people with the bacterium actual develop an ulcer.

In a clinical trial in Turkey, research measured concentrations of malondialdehyde (a highly-reactive free radical that causes cell damage) and glutathione (an antioxidant that helps to protect cells) in the stomach mucosa of patients with peptic ulcers or gastritis,as well as in healthy controls in patients with ulcers or gastritis, malondialdehyde levels were significantly higher, and glutathione levels lower, than in healthy controls.

Siberian pine nut oil is a uniquely potent natural source of powerful antioxidants as well as antioxidant co-factors and 'building blocks', which is thought to be the reason why it is so effective in treating peptic ulcers and gastritis. It contains high levels of the amino acids cysteine, glycine and glutamate - all building blocks of glutathione, the cell -protecting antioxidant measured in the Turkish study.

The oil also contains five times more antioxidant-rich vitamin E than extra virgin olive oil and it is also a rich source of carotenoids in a highly bio-available form. It is exceptionally rich in trace metal co-factors for two important enzyrmatic antioxidants, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase.
Lowers LDL 'bad' cholesterol and boosts levels of HDL 'good' cholesterol

Siberian pine nut oil can also help lower high blood pressure and cholesterol levels. In a clinical study carried out in Russia, patients with hypertension were given standard medication and a healthy diet and, in addition, one group took two tablespoons of Siberian pine nut oil daily for three months.

At the end of this period, the pine nut oil group showed a 19.5 per cent reduction in in systolic blood pressure and a 9.8 per cent drop in body mass index, compared with reductions of 10.6 per cent and 4 per cent respectively in the control group.

In the same study, pine nut oil reduced LDL ('bad') cholesterol by 2I per cent and increased HDL ('good') cholesterol by 29 per cent, compared with drops of 10 percent in LDL and 5 percent in HDL in the control group. The atherogenic index (which provides a measure of potential damage to the arteries), dropped by a massive 40 percent in the pine nut oil group, while it went up by 2 percent in the control group.

A study in Korea found that pinolenic acid in pine nut oil increases the efficiency of LDL cholesterol receptors on liver cells, meaning that more of this harmful type of cholesterol is removed from the blood.
